Years ago, while recovering from a series of traumatic experiences, I turned to yoga and was led down a path to becoming a a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, as well as a Conscious Dance and Sound Medicine facilitator. My philosophy around movement and healing is deeply rooted in the embracing of our whole imperfect self – the wabi wabi spirit (Wabi Sabi is a Japanese aesthetic philosophy that seeks to find beauty in the imperfect). Through this philosophy I’ve come to believe that, like the phases of the moon, doing our best looks a little different each day but that doesn’t make it any less beautiful, or wondrous or worthy.  I became a teacher to share this truth and to facilitate physical and emotional healing on a deeply human level. I can’t save the whole world, but I can stand up in front of a group of people and be a beacon on their path toward letting go. The path toward self love. The path toward embracing their own radical authenticity.
